Battery charging preheat

If I set the navigation to a charging station, does the car start pre-heating the battery? And/or is there a way to manually start battery pre-heating?

Swipe left from the Home Screen and you’ll see the charging options in there, enter those and you’ll see pre heating.

Yeah, you have the intelligent preheat, but you have no control of what or when it does anything. I've turned it on, and selected a charging point in the satnav, but there's no indication whether it does heat up the battery.
