Hi all, my first post so hope I'm doing this right...

I just bought a 2021 MG5 (standard battery). How can i be sure whether the battery is LPA or NMC? I think its the latter but would be good to be 100% sure. For example, does the VIN number give it away in some way? Thanks for any advice.

Second question: My old Leaf had a car timing-planner where you could set up the car to charge at a future day/ time and for how long which was very useful. MG5 seems to miss this? ie, you plug it in and it charges, you unplug it and it stops - there's no way to schedule charging start and top times automatically as far as i can see? Have i missed something?

Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
If you look under the rear offside at the battery it should have a label saying NMC.
