Blue tooth connection on 75 plate HS

Hi how do you connect an Android phone to the car. Blue tooth does not pair, tried cable connection...nothing. Just got this car and not impressed with this and other issues. So easy in the basis car I had before..help please. Thanks

I haven't tried it but I understand from others that you require a good quality cable like OEM not some cheap stuff of ebay.
