I picked up my nice new MGS5 trophy last week and loving apart from my bluetooth connection (android phone) keeps dropping and reconnecting, making having calls and listening to music a bit annoying as it is like a record skipping.
Has anyone else had this? if yes, what did you find helped?

I hope so - it was one of the features I was looking forward to as my old punto didn't have bluetooth
Do you know if plugging in with a cable stops it, rather than relying on the connection? (my next thing to try)

Yes, I always plug in because while mine rarely disconnects, the audio stutters. With a cable it is fine.

Hi, I've had this for the last couple of days. Tried everything, deleting Bluetooth profiles etc, but nothing worked. My wife's phone was fine, mine wasn't. We're both on android.

Then I dug deeper. If you go into the "Settings" option (so from the home screen , swipe left and look for "settings") and then select "Hotspot" and momentarily disable it. After a few seconds you should be able to re-enable it. When I did this the connection was perfect...

Hopefully it'll work for you...

I've had the same problem over the last couple of days. I tried all the obvious things like deleting Bluetooth profiles etc, but nothing worked.

Then I found that disabling the cars WiFi "hotspot" and then re-enabling it seems to fix the problem - for how long, I don't know, but it's working for now!

You can find the setting by going to the "home" screen and swiping left. You should then set a tab marked "Hotspot", switch it off and then back on again - seems to work...

My experience is is disabling "medielyd" or media sound in blue tooth settings.
It worked regarding the sound problem when playing music but it did not fix the issue with the other person who is calling in and don`t hear you anymore. I think the sollution to that last problem is disabling hotspot an only use cable if android auto is needed.
The real fix of course is a sw update of the car.
