Find Weight of bonnet heavy.I am no weakling.It is big.Maybe I have been spoilt coming from a Honda Jazz.You could lift the bonnet with one finger.

I don't actually think it's all that heavy, you do have to lift it quite high to be able to engage the bonnet stay though, maybe this is why people think it's heavy?

Clive you are correct.As you say you have to lift the bonnet high to get the stay in.Short people might have a problem

Bonnets are good candidates for reducing weight in a vehicle. More expensive cars use aluminium or alloy bonnets for example. It sounds like the Honda Jazz may also have a counterbalancing spring or gas strut to reduce the force needed to lift it.

Can't comment on the MG3 but my MG5 bonnet weighs a ton!
