Cannot bind the iSmart app on my phone to the car

My wife has successfully managed to bind her iSmart app on her phone to the car, but I was not able to do the same this evening.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should try to get a connection?

Am I right in thinking that you can have more than one user connected to the same car?

Am I right in thinking that my wife must make sure that she is disconnected before I try to make a connection?

For reference, whenever I tried to make a connection (bind) I never got the QR code to show on the screen in the car. Any help, will be gratefully received.

You can have 2 using the ismart app, but your wife has to add you in the ismart app itself, not via the car. Click on the bottom far right icon, looks like a smiley emoji on the ismart app screen and it'll bring you up a menu to add a secondary account.

I'll repeat again my oft-said mantra .. A car is bound to an Account, and not to a device. :)
Having spoken to the salesman at my local dealer at lunchtime, I now understand how the iSmart app works, and as you say, the car is bound to an account, not a device. So all sorted.
