CarPlay Shortcut

I did search but can't find what I think would be really useful - the trophy we have is my wife's car so I have only managed to drive it a few times so far (I think I know more than her though!) - one thing that is really annoying me is to get back to CarPlay really quickly - I have to click the faff around by clicking the home icon, and then click CarPlay - not that easy when you are concentrating on the road. Would be great if there was a quick one button back to CarPlay - have I missed something?

It depends where you've been. If you can do what you want on the pull down drawer, then you can swipe it up again, revealing the CarPlay screen again.

Leaving it set to HOME when you aren't actively engaging with the Infotainment Unit is probably the simplest option.

Thanks all - mainly workarounds unfort - if on settings, radio or any other section a single click back to CarPlay would be great as I always have the maps on the screen - clicking around to do that is a pain...but is what it is!

I've just got the MGS5 today and that was the first thing I tried to set up. It was something that could be done on the MG ZS EV, and the * button could open car play.
I tried using MG Voice activation but after failing to get it to understand me saying "Carplay" a few times, it didn't work anyway.

I tried only very quickly last night - but if you do a hey Siri, open Waze - that will work and get you straight back in. A button would be better though!

Ah i'll have to try that, thanks. I'll have a proper play with it this weekend.
