I'm planning to have the windows tinted on my MG5 and have been offered Ceramic Film for the front windscreen. It has no tint but is supposed to offer up 80% UV reduction. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this treatment? Does it affect such things as the Auto Wipers operation/sensitivity?

Honestly never heard of it till you posted. but found a YT vid -

It seems to be pretty cheap and easy to apply so why not? With one downside, I've used rainx on a windscreen before and found the rain drops running up the screen to be very distracting (maybe you get used to it). This ceramic coating seems to be the same as rainx but probably a lot longer lasting?
Also from the video, using the real ceramic coating for glass is best.

I don't think that I'm being offered a spray on treatment, it's a film, just like a normal window tint?

I don't tend to use my wipers much at all a set of blades last me well over 100k.
I think it comes from years of commuting on motorcycles all year round. You do get use to it and look straight through it.
My sister's cars need there screen wash topped up monthly where as mine once a year.
