ChargePlace Scotland ; Guilty - as Charged!!!

Driving back from Aberdeen to Inverness yesterday was a testing affair due to ChargePlace Scotland.

I stopped at Inverurie (87 miles to home) and the Rapid charger didn't work! I called the Helpline for 8 minutes but it went unanswered.

So drove on to Huntly (65 miles to home) and the Rapid charger didn't work!!

So I drove to Keith (55 miles to home) and the Rapid charger didn't work!!!

Getting a little anxious, I went to an Instavolt in Fife Keith and get a good blast, enough to get me home safely. Yep, I did have to pay handsomely for it, but I wouldn't have made the next Rapid Charger at Elgin!

I get so tired of having to justify my EV to ICE drivers. It's NOT the car - it's the second rate infrastructure that is so disappointing!

I'll not lie, it's the main thing that's putting me off doing any really long trips. I'd think nothing of driving to Oban or Fort William or even Carlisle with my mates for a day trip in any of my old cars... I'm a bit apprehensive of doing the same at present.

Yes, I've dialed in to a couple of their webinars run by EVA Scotland and I've been pretty impressed.
