This is a very old model charger and 90% unlikely to charge your mg5. There's a communications? issue where it does not see the ccs plug as locked in place, so it will not allow a charge to start.
These are dotted about all over Scotland, and some do work, like the middle one of three at broxden park and ride so it's worth trying if you're close by.
If you're planning a trip though, don't rely on them working for you.
