Hi everyone collected my Battersea Blue MG3 trophy today I've only drove it back home but I found it quiet and the regeneration brakes are useful which mode is best it was in ECO when I collected the car

Hope you enjoy it, I leave mine at Normal which is the default when switching on, bit more responsive than eco and doesn't seem to be any worse for Fuel consumption.

Thanks I've just picked my fiancee up and it was great ran most of the time in EV

Nice one @Chinook, it'll always start off in Eco Mode, and to be honest, I think I left mine in Eco most of the time.
Thanks Clive I only amble along and the computer was showing 67mpg so it's going to save me a fortune in petrol compared to my petrol HS

I always keep mine in Normal, and I've not noticed any change in performance or fuel consumption. Certainly enjoying the better fuel figures now the warmer weather is here and I'm not needing heating too!

My trophy shows normal when I start and I change it to eco but it resets to normal every time
Normal is the default setting but as @Deleted member 21808 I keep it in Normal never noticed any great difference in economy appart from it didn't pick up as quickly when you accelerate.

Funny enough I drove back from the beach yesterday and put it in Economy, and then forget about it. On the journey I pulled out to overtake a stationary bus only for find a car coming the other way very quickly and so I put my foot down and the car responded just as sharply as it does in Normal. Didn't notice any change in fuel either, still averaged just under 70mpg which is normal for this journey when I'm not using the heating!

When you put your foot right down it doesn't which mode you are in - full throttle is full throttle.

True, but the manual does say the modes will affect response to inputs. I didn't floor the throttle, probably only about 50% but it still responded well/ I am normally light on the throttle.

The fuel economy is very temperature dependent, which is the case with any vehicle that relies heavily on its EV battery.
In the warm weather of last week here in the UK, my car fuel economy improved by about 5-10 mpg, compared to cold conditions.
Simply the battery can drive the car for longer...

Mine has improved from about 30mpg around town to 50mpg in the warmer weather!
