Contributors League Tables

I'm not sure about the contributors league tables that have recently appeared on the forums. I'm worried that it might encourage a proliferation of meaningless postings just to get to the top of the respective tables.

This happened on one of the Facebook groups I'm on where a person just posted controversial comments to become the number one contributor before disappearing from the group.

And how can banned members still be eligible to be listed?

Right I'm just off to practice creating drivel.

I'm pleased to say I have not been given a label. It does seem a bit of a naff thing, something they might do on social media. Ooh I must get some likes so I know I have friends.

Me neither - though we would both probably be featured in the 'first-of-the-losers' list this month. Yes, naff, but then we already "collect" points and reaction scores, whatever they are

If you're over 50, the social media site is called something like "mgevs dot com" I think

Maybe Stuart introduced this new "feature" knowing that it would be seen as so naff that members will post less trivia to avoid being "labelled" ?
