After a test drive of IM6 I have a wish for the cruise control. Ive driven a Citroen for almost 200000 kms and it has the best CC setup I have ever encountered, even with test driving too many in my hunt to get to buying the IM6.
There are 3 buttons. Theres no dedicated On button - superfluous. First Button - flips between Cancel and Resume. Plus and Minus buttons both have same functionality.
Quick Press activates/sets CC. Short Press increments or decreases by 1kph for each press - great when cruising up behind someone who insists on sitting a few kph below current zone speed or who is doing their own random speed ignoring what most of the traffic wants to do. Long Press moves slowly in successive 5kph steps until it reaches one of the customisable presets and then stops changing. So Citroen has 4 customisable presets (trust the French) which I set at 53 73 83 103 kph because my car overstates actual speed by about 3kph. I love it. Which then would leave the IM6 stalk CC activate setting to activate something else. I understand that the adaptive cruise control would potentially cover some of this functionality but feel a little unnerved by the adaptation taking longer than i feel comfortable with.
