Did you have any regrets about buying an EV before the current fuel price hike?

I promised myself my first new car when I retired intending on spending some of my pension pot on it. Then four years ago my mother died and although I wasn't at retiring age, I had been working part-time due to health issues so I decided to take early retirement and buy that new car I had been promising myself with my inheritance.

I had seen Fifth Gear Recharged with Tiff Needell and VBH wich had piqued my interest in EVs but the styling of affordable ones at the time wasn't to my taste then my mate asked if I had seen the new MG4.

Two weeks later after watching multiple YouTube reviews I placed my order for a MG4 Trophy in Dynamic Red. It took six months from ordering to delivery. That was three years ago and I'm now on my second EV and haven't regretted changing from an ICE vehicle once.
 
I was a bit hesitant at first, but over 3 years ago I went for the facelift ZS because the 273mile range was better than most. Every time I drove it I had a smile on my face. When I drove the wife's Tucson like previously mentioned it was like driving a tractor.
My wife now has the ZS and drove it for the first time in February as I was awaiting my S5, and called it her car from then. She is NOT driving the S5 as I would not see it again :ROFLMAO:.
I bought the car without the test drive and I am glad I did. I now have a huge smile on my face with the S5. No more ICE for me and better still no petrol stations :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
 
After buying two crashed MG4s it was a no brainer to buy an as new MG4, one of those registered the yr before to get sales figures up, then became a demonstrator vehicle, but not many kms on it when we picked it up.
My first venture into electric was an ex taxi Brisbane Prius Gen 2, with 500,000km, might have been 600,000km on it, paid about $1,900 for it and expected it to be a clapped out piece of junk I could experiment and dip the toes into electric vehicles.
Besides the obvious problems with having had that many people travel in it, so needing every vent and vent tube removed and cleaned, a shampoo over the seats .... it was a goer. I think it has 750,000km on it now, parked up the back as it became a donor for my '06 iTech Prius I bought for $6,000, still got it, drive it when ever the trip will be more than 300kms and we are in a hurry, other than that, Margaret drives it to pick up our 78yr old friend and his Jack Russell .... no idea about "mind my leather seats etc" so they are banned from the MG4 :LOL:

Would I ever go back to an ICE powered vehicle .... well, I did, they don't make 10 tonne 30ft Winnebago type motorhomes in electric. So it was a 2001 vintage V10 4 sp auto, that is a gem to drive, just hurts at the fuel station, even before the prices went crazy ......
Would I convert it to an EV, certainly plan to, just as soon as I finish all the other fixes so I can get it registered in South Australia ..... after a rather regretful experience trying to get it passed for rego in NSW where it was registered ....
