Is there any concerns with disconnecting the 12v pb cell that people have experienced?

Aside from ensuring isolation of both ends, shorts, etc.... following user manual guidance of course.

Has anyone had any issues with reboot/reconnect.

Memory issues after such?

Anything else?

I haven't disconnected the 12V battery on my MGS5 but I did on my MG4. Once reconnected I had to turn the steering wheel lock to lock a couple of times to re-calibrate the power steering and drive a couple of miles to clear the warning messages.

Did on our previous ZS EV and it was fine !.
It lost the tyre pressure read out in the display, but after a short drive, it all returned to normal.
Not tried it on our S5 🤷🏻.

I can confirm, all was okay. I did get the same steering thing. Full lock right and left took the warning away. No other warning after that, until the full lock was done; driver safety systems were reported offline on drivers console.

Fuse changed, 12v socket... Was not easy to reach, required the removal of a relay to get access to the fuse.

Driver side knee panel is on dash end, not under the steering or anything else. Pull it away at the door seal at the bottom, that gives you a finger in to prise the panel out towards the open door, work around the front of the dash to the top, the knee panel then folds away free of the seal.

Reverse to put back on. Top, front then work downwards, push fits. Install over the seal, but when panel is seated be sure to prise seal out and reset it over the panel again!
