Do you wish you lived in an earlier time?

The 20th century saw the first powered flight, after which we saw more and more milestones broken and within 70 years, men were walking on the moon. Computers, mobile phones which became pocket computers. CT scanners, MRI scanners, decoding the human genome, genetic engineering . . .

And the 21st century, saw the X Power.

I have a different perspective. I'm naturally a trial and error DIY innovator, I'm not good at maths, and have little design skills. Some of my mates have 3D printers, use their computers to design stuff and print it out.
All totally beyond me. I'd like to go back to a time where I could be at the cutting edge, think up stuff and just make it. Well I do that now, but I'm way behind the 8 ball.

Not that I'd want to give up the very pleasant life we have here, But it would be nice if I had more modern skills

You could copy the @Archev method and just make stuff up and put it up here on the forum

If I could go back in time and then return, I'd make some investments and buy up a few garbage bags of the smoko we had back then :lol: Just for medicinal purposes of course ..... I'd also tell myself to take a sicky the day of the MVA back in 2003 or was it 2002 ..... hmmm..... I can see a problem with that plan ......

It is one of those things I have always had in the back of my mind, would I be able to survive if the whole system collapsed ...... and, even at this age, I think I could .....
The problem would be surviving those that want what you have set up, that would be going back to the days where you either had people to protect you, or you were one of the people that someone more powerful chose to keep close because you were useful to them, so they would organise protection for you .....
