Dull sounds

A dull repetitive sound occurs. Nothing comes up on the dashboard. Any ideas?

Where is this sound coming from @Bustbam, front or back of the car, inside or outside the car, while moving, or stationary, or is it some sort of dashboard warning sound?

Inside the car and appears to be from the front but no signs on dashboard. It is not a sound I have heard before. It started while on a motorway.

OK, moved to correct forum, so it's a sound generated by the car for a specific reason, we just need to know what the reason is.

Best way of describing it is a dull boing. It stops when the car is shut down although it still sounded when stationary and zero revs. Electric only.

Are all the doors and boot fully closed, try opening them and closing them again.

Maybe an idea if you/or passenger could record the sound!

Yes they were all checked noise continued. Also checked tyres. Nothing indicating a problem on dashboard

Lights left on, seatbelt warning?

Just a thought you don't have anything sitting on the passenger seat apart from a passenger that is , could set a bong noise of if belt not fastened?

Thank you. Have found the problem. We had two suitcases on the back seats without having the seat belts done up. Lesson learnt.
