The day rate is 28.04 in my area, others the same. Inputting those figures into my consumption spreadsheet shows an annual advantage over my current Octopus Go (not intelligent). My EV usage is up this year so gap will be larger. Something to think about.

Gas

Bigger difference here changing gas as well

Looks good, but over my current BGas tariff (Electric Driver V17) I'd be projected to save £25/year dual fuel. Standing chargers for both Gas and Electrify are higher, which cancel out the unit rate reduction. Think I'll wait for my current tariff to end.

Yep always need to do the comparison with your own figures to see if it's worth it.

The email makes no sense.

When I click through the link to my online account I get this, which is the same as on my app, and exactly as it should be.

Baffled (and slightly worried) person here.

Bill appears to be for your Electroverse account not main household account. Still odd.

Checking again, these are post April 1st prices, we still don't know what the daily/SC rates will be with Octopus yet, so might we worth holding off for a bit.

The standing charge of 60p per day is steep and would amount to £55 pa more than my current 12 month fix on Octopus Go.

A quick look suggests the Eon night rate covers whole house usage, not just EV charging - something they have given contradictory information about in the past.

Given my usage I think I’ll stick to Octopus.

Oh, referring to above, our Octopus Standing charge will remain: 43.82 p / day

I wonder if they are now offering better deals for existing customers than for new ones.

Would be a big change from the bad old days of British Gas fleecing the elderly.

E.on has two EV tariffs. The one I posted (Next Drive) covers the whole house usage. The other (Next Drive Smart) is a bit cheaper but it's for EV charging only as they control the charging but you have to have a compatible car, which MGs aren't.

I'm also on the beta testing of myenergi's Gridpay wich gives a monthly reward of between £5 and £10 for letting them take control of charging your EV via the Zappi charger during the cheap tariff times. So far this year I've had £35.50 paid back into my bank account.

Just got notification of the new Octopus Go London rate from April
Day 28.24
Night 5.49
Standing charge 45.47

I wonder why there are such big regional variations in price.
