I wonder why there are such big regional variations in price.

Different costs for the various DNO's. UK Power Networks, covering most of London, SE and East Anglia is one of the cheaper ones as we're more dense in this part of the country

I'm still baffled by that email, which was from Octopus not Electroverse. I emailed Octopus and they said they couldn't find an account linked to my email address at all, which is worrying, and asking me for my full name, address and account number. I sent these back last night, but still no reply to that email.

However, this morning I woke up to a completely different email, also from Octopus.

Scroll to the end of the email, and I find this.

I'm pinching myself. That surely has to be too good to be true!

I don't know what's going on with the other email but it looks increasingly like a mistake.

I wonder why there are such big regional variations in price.

As well as the regional difference I think it depends what deal you were on previously.

Everyone basically gets 3.5p off whatever deal they already had, until that deal runs out.

I think that's it. I fixed my prices on 13th October last year, and my fixed 7p/unit has gone down to 3.5p/unit, held till 13th October this year. It's an incredible deal.
