Anyone watch F1? Used to watch F1 a lot.
But the last 4 years lost a bit of interest, not just coz, Red Bull where, dominating, that's fair enough, but I just can't stand Verstappen. 😡

So torn between Mercedes, still got a soft spot for them. 👍

Ferrari, but only coz I'd like to see Lewis win an 8th title, and take the outright record. 🙂

And finally McLaren, coz they race in Orange, nuff said. 😉

And the team I absolutely DO NOT want to win, is Red bloody Bull. ☹

After following F1 for most of my life, I gave up in disgust after the 2021(?) last race debacle. Liberty Media had turned it into a "reality" show where it seemed the result was manipulated to get the best viewing figures, so I'd had enough. I thought I would at least watch the British GP but I started then wondered what was the point it wasn't a sport anymore so that was the last time I watched it. TBH I've not really missed it, can't see me ever bothering in future.

I agree with @salty and @GaryMG4 . I used to watch it avidly but since the Liberty Media and Mohammed Ben Sulayem became president of the FIA it has become a media circus not a motor sport. And as for banning drivers swearing over the radio, what a load of 🐂:poop:. It only offends the viewers if the director transmits it.

I hope Lewis does win a final championship but that's as far as my interest goes now.

Still watch it, and excited to see how both Ferrari and Mclaren do this season, I think the Red Bull dominance is fading. Will be good to see if Hamilton can win an 8th Championship, but Norris is also a good contender. Wasn't that long ago that people were complaining about Mercedes dominance.

Sometimes watch just the first lap and the last two , even then its pretty boring, for really boring try watching it with "mute" on. Sadly to say but Moto GP is going the same way, and as for the Electric series???? zzzzz. Open to suggestions for a good, Old peoples home, with soft toys I can throw at the telly. 🤪

Touring car racing may be a good substitute, always plenty of action and 3 short races per day/meet. Also free to watch live on one of the ITV channels

Still watch, just zipped through Aussie qualifying but your sentiments pretty much tally with mine.

Bang on... it's 'entertainment' now... not a sport that I'd spend that subscription on, much the same as football now. All about the money...

To a certain extent I agree. Although this F1 season, could be the most interesting one, for years. Football's, not as bad as F1. In the all about the money, stakes.
F1's definitely got it beat in the razzmatazz stakes. 🙂

The first race weekend is almost here and I am excited that Australia gets to kick off the season again. There’s plenty to enjoy on the track, but fans should also expect a huge lineup of off-track activities, from fan zones and pop-up stores to live music and interactive experiences. You can check out this full guide to what’s happening here including racing simulators, Batak reflex challenges, Q&A sessions with drivers, and performances by artists like Basement Jaxx, Rita Ora, and Duke Dumont. It is shaping up to be a festival experience as much as a race weekend.

The race itself wasn't bad but it was really disappointing to see Oscar crashing even before the formation lap, which put him out of the race entirely 😥

I think all the drivers are having to cope with far more regen than last year, as 50% of the power now comes from the battery.
In Verstsappens case when he had his accident it was because the rear wheels locked which spun him off. In Piastri's case it seemed to be a blip of power that spun up the wheels and caused him to spin into the barrier.
Maybe both cases are caused by the deployment and gathering of energy in a sudden way due to the newness of the systems that may not be smooth as they could be in order to harness the maximum to charge or use the battery capacity.
It is interesting that someone described the cars as being Formula E on steroids.
