what happens if the factory reset function is activated ? what exactly is reset/

I think it's just for the infotainment system, so sat nav will probably run the startup wizard and all the car settings will be on as out of the factory. Nothing major but a good way to start again if you get yourself in a muddle

it resets the whole car, when i did this i had the Fahrenheit problem in my dashboard

Still the same as the dealer doesn't know how to fix it.
