Yesterday I visited a friend I’ve not seen for a long time.
I left home with a half full battery knowing that I would have to charge on the way back. First I visited the market for some fresh seafood. No parking spot only a charging place. So I hooked it up with my new charging card. After some shopping we hit the road for about 80 km. Drink coffee again 40km when my car hinted on charging.
We drove to the next gas station. It had an extra section from Fastned. It had a error. I must first wave my card choose a charge cable. Than hook it up than it started charging. It went straight to 53 that 62 kWh
Went for some drinks in the sun. After we finished our drinks the battery was at 80%.
when I came home it advised to recharge. I told my charger to fill up with 34kw. To 90% raw calculations. This morning it was 97% full. So I thought let’s fill it up to 100% with some balancing. So now I’m home and I’m looking at the smal screen. I hear you guys talk about bms updates and a voltage of 449
I have 456 v
I think I m on the original BMS
Is that okay or should I ask for the update?

I'm still on the original BMS, and as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't mess with it.

As best I can tell, the newer update tweaks the top and bottom levels of the battery, which will probably be a good thing long term, especially if the car lives on rapid charging (like mine). But it's not something I'd specifically make a trip to get done. It'll be fine hanging on till the first service. I'd only be slightly concerned if the max V started to drop through the floor, along with the range.

I'm the same as macd2401 - I have the original BMS (456V) but everything works like I want it to (I can charge locked/unlocked and Pod Point timing charges during my off peak), so agree that we should leave it alone (maybe review it during the first service, next year). ;)

Cheers
