Front camera

Hello everyone,

I have just received my MGS5 EV in Trophy spec 3 days ago. It’s my first EV after ten years of driving a RR Evoque (lovely design but a shoddy build) and so far I am very very impressed.

A quick question. Is there a way to ensure that the front facing camera activates when driving at low speeds ( parking). I have to press the camera button on the display to activate it when parking and I presumed it would automatically display in the centre console. I’m really surprised MG didn’t add front parking sensors as they are an excellent parking aid with little cost to the manufacturer.
I’m sure I will soon get used to using the camera instead.

Thanks to everyone who regularly posts on here as it’s been a great help and source of enjoyment when choosing/ waiting for the car to be delivered.

No, I don't think there is, at least I've never found one! Only by pressing the 360 button will it activate BUT, although I have not done this, I believe it is possible to have one of the steering wheel star buttons activate the camera so you don't need to "grab" for the button on the Infotainment screen.

Yes it's doable (favourite button shortcut).

Thanks to info on this sight I have it on star button also it's easier to press it on
