It does seem a bit off that with two forward facing cameras on the car already and one reward-facing camera that they didn't just put a Micro SD card slot and have it part of the car, now that would be a good thing, and think of the saving on insurance premiums.

TBH it should be on all cars by .now.

Not bad really when you consider how much agro it could possibly save you, the only issue is if YOU are at fault the car will grass you up

If you have your own in the car you can stuff it in your pocket and say nowt.

The main issue with the Mercedes solution is that by their interpretation of the law, it doesn’t self start. The recordings use a memory stick.
I put a garmin, the basic one from Halfords, on my mg3 plugged into the mirror consul connection and it works very well.
