What is the German equivalent of the ZS EV long range? The Germans have two versions, comfort and luxury. Anyone know which is which?

I have the comfort LR version. 72Kwh no sun roof, no cameras on the manual foldable mirrors, but heated fabric seats. Sun roofs are awful in the hot weather as are the fake leather seats.
😅 True, it is a bit toasty in this weather. Thankfully being able to remotely switch on the aircon helps with that.

In Denmark we have had comfort and luxury.

But they have had a lot of variants.

In the beginning it was :

Comfort : Low spec, 1 phase charger, 50KW battery
Luxury : High spec, 3 phase charger 70KW battery

But then it got complicated, they have had numerous sub-variants

When they wanted to clear the inventory last december, because the S5 release was imminent, they had 3 different versions.

Comfort 50, 1 phase charger, low spec
Comfort 70, 3 phase charger, low spec
Luxury 70, 3 phase charger, high spec

Here we really need the 3 phase charger as we usually only have 16A per phase, so one phase charger = 3.6KW.

We bought a Luxury 70, delivered in February 2025, my sister found out she wanted an electric as well and since we bought the MG and said we were pleased with it, she bought one as well, but when she went to order, the luxury's were sold out, so she had to settle for the comfort 70 instead.

Only thing she misses, is the wireless phone charger she says. She only paid ~£1000 less for hers, so i would still claim we got the better deal, witht the blind spot detection, RTA, folding mirrors, electric sunroof, 6 speakers, "leather" seats, electric adjustable drivers seat, rain sensor, more functions in the app and so on.

I could also mention the live traffic in the satnav, but i guess no one uses that, when AA or AC is available and the 360 camera, but that is so shite its not worth mentioning.

What issue do you have with the 360 cam, aside from the somewhat low resolution? It could be better, like a lot of things, but I quite like it. Perhaps I just haven't been spoilt by the better ones - this is the first car I've had it 🙂.

As for the wireless charging, I find that basically useless. It mostly just heats up the phone (I've tried without the phone cover too and it didn't seem to make much of a difference) and charges very slowly. Not an old or cheap phone either (S24+). Another problem you can have once the phone starts overheating is Google Maps for example will stop working - no thanks. Maybe I'm just really unlucky with my phone and this car, because it won't charge over cable at all, with any of the ports. Other phones charge fine, albeit very slowly too. My phone charges just fine with pretty much any charger/cable at home so I don't know what gives... Thankfully my charging habits and today's phone batteries are such that I don't ever really need to charge in the car, even with heavy AA usage (I use a wireless AA dongle, couldn't really get it to work with a cable either, kept disconnecting and tried multiple cables).

Like I said, a lot could be better, but at this price point I'm quite happy (not to mention that much more expensive cars from big manufacturers can't seem to get the software right either).

It's the low quality that basically makes the 360 more or less useless.

My kids calls this the "Minecraft camera" as it is very "blocky" and Yes i am probably spoiled as "my" car (Wife mostly drives the ZS EV) has a lot better cameras...(Swasticar).

The heating of the battery and slow charging is also a problem with my Swasticar, the problem is, the coil in the charger and the coil in the phone need to be aligned, the less aligned they are, the less the phone gets charged and the more of the energy is wasted as heat.

Some phones has the coil in the right spot for the car and others dont.

Have you tried your phone facing both ways...I have read someone say if the top of the phone was to the left it got hot and barely charged but if it was to the right it was better....Or vice versa.

The best way would be for the coil to be suspended in some sort of springy device to enable it to move left/right and up/down and then use the magsafe / QI2 magnets in newer androids (Often cases) and all iphones from the last 5 years.

This way, they coil would be able to "snap" to the right position to align perfectly with the charger.

Ok, if those are the cameras you're comparing it to I can understand 😄.

Thanks, might try putting the phone the other way round. If it takes a bunch of fiddling to make the technology work though then it's really a gimmick IMO. Also the ZS doesn't give you much space to manoeuvre there with a biggish phone. I think Teslas are a bit more forgiving there.

Oh and sorry everyone for taking this a bit off topic.
