Got our MGS5 this Week: Shocking Discovery

We received our leased MGS5 this week and my wife finally had the chance to try it out but noticed her feet don't reach the pedals! Before ordering this we'd planned to test drive it, unfortunately she'd misplaced her license so only I drove it and she just relied on me. But its not something we've ever encountered to expect it to be a possible issue.

Surely we can't be the first to experience this?

My other half is vertically challenged (5'1") and she noted this when we looked around the car before we bought it. I have the seat at its lowest setting and adjusted for me to reach the pedals how I like it (I"m 5'10" btw) - when she comes to drive, she simply raises the seat up to its highest setting (without moving it forward or backward) and that suits her fine.

Only annoyance for me is when it's chucking it down and she's the last to use the car and I have to stand there with my finger on the seat down button for what seems like an eternity before it's low enough for me to get in!

Odd my wife is 5.1 too, wonder if its an issue with the mechanism. Do you have the Trophy version?

On the Trophy model, the drivers seat is electric powered and therefore it has to house the drive motor and adjustment mechanism under the seat, so I don't think that drivers seat can be lowered to the same level as the passengers seat.
The passengers seat is a totally manual adjustment and the seat height can not be raised or lowered unfortunately.

It's a pity it doesn't have drivers memory function just like our hs phev 2025 which has 3 memory positions and is a super for us as my wife is short (and sweet) and she loves it.
