I've just seen that There are currently no cars on the list Low-emission vehicles eligible for a plug-in grant
but Maxus vans are . Seeing as Maxus is owned by SAIC surely MG's would also qualify?

What's the matter with the way it worked, before. If it was an EV, it qualified, simple's.

Surely that can't be correct, how can the Government not include normal everyday cars, crazy.

I asked MG UK if SAIC was applying for the new Gov EV Grant for its cars and they had no idea. SAIC works on the mushroom management principle, keep them in the dark and occasionally throw in a handful of chicken poo. There seems to be no way of contacting SAIC than snail mail.

We're talking about, our Government, Clive. The whole thing is being handled very badly, as far as I can see. To be fair though, they are consistently, Shite.

I just don't understand how they can launch something with a big fanfare without sorting out which cars are eligible first . How come they've managed to do it for vans ( including the VW ID Buzz Commerce but not the passenger version presumably cos it's a "car")trucks, taxis, motorbikes ( 56 of them!)
It's almost as if they don't want the biggest market sector to benefit!
