Have you noticed fuel prices going up

I do admit to a little smugness watching the Chelsea tractors pulling into the petrol station and pulling out again when they see the no diesel sign. I did draw the line at pulling in in my EV and filling a can for the mower though.
Changed my mower for a battery powered one last year. Middle of Lidl purchase and it's been great. Works with the batteries I already have for my power tools. I can cut both our lawns with a single 4aH battery.

What really gets them where it hurts, is pulling in to check the tyres and fill the windscreen washer bottle ...... maybe even use the car wash (if you suffer with clean car syndrome) then go into the shop and buy a donut or hot dog or something totally non fuel related, even and air freshener scented cardboard tree to hang from the mirror, engage with all those in the line at the cashier counter about the incredible rise in fuel costs, you weren't sure if the numbers on the bowser were a telephone number, while trying not to smile or laugh too much, present your purchase and when they ask which bowser, the no fuel purchase in a clear and steady voice loud enough for all to hear .... and then walk out to you MG parked around the side of the building .....

I do have a battery mower that works well but the main patch of grass, I wouldn't grace with label of lawn, is left uncut until June/July and the battery mower won't cope with it. At this time of year the petrol is more likely to go in the 30 year old Rav4 that we use to tow the roller around the horses paddock.

With the weather improving slowly I took my large comfy sleeping bag to a local filling station the other day. Only because it won’t fit my washing machine and they have a large machine and a drier to match. I sat and watched in amazement as these poor souls slavishly drew in to the various machines before me and dispensed the required liquids into their cars. I attempted to guess how much and calculate what the total might be when multiplied by the huge figures on the signs. I gave up because my mathematics became so unwieldy and my depression intensified. That is until I remembered I filled the Berlingo the night before for 82 pence. And lo - the world was a happy place again and very soon I shall be adventuring with the tent etc once more.
I was drawn to a Hyundai emporium today and inspected an Inster. Very nice - very small - very cheap - grand 240 ish range and Vto L available Mmmmmmm ? I do like the e Berlingo though 😍
I don't think the Inster has the dimensions of your Belingo. Speaking of tents I noticed this upcoming from Aldi middle aisle.

I actually made 30p from charging the car this night, as electricity had a negative price, which is utterly ridiculous if you ask me.

Yeah the Inster is smaller but much easier to wash - if I can ever be bothered 🤣
