So i bought a very cheap chinese wall charger, and even though they claim it is waterproof, my experience, especially with cheap chinese electronics, is that waterproof just means that when the water will inevitably get inside, it will never get out again.

I therefor crafted a small protective "house" for the charger and the Type 2 connector.

Anyone else did this or did i just fix a problem that is non-existant :)

Pretty much anything you'd buy in the UK would be rated for exterior use but dry is still better than wet so I installed mine in a covered area so the rain never touches it.

My house is a bungalow with quite a deep soffit so not much rain hits the wall the height the charger is anyway.

My issue is the cable stowage has the dummy socket perpendicular to the wall so when used the cable sticks out about 2 ft. Still trying to find a stowing hanger with the socket parallel to the wall as using one is a lot easier that putting on the rubber cover.
