hazard lights

has anyone had any issues with their hazard lights flashing randomly? chance are you probably wont notice unless (a) another driver informs you or (b) you happen to notice it in the reflection of the car in front! i took the car into a dealer for a diagnostic, but they couldnt replicate it, neither could we if i'm honest! There is no indication on the dash the lights are flashing and, unlike if you select the hazard warning lights, these seems to to flash at twice the speed?! i'm sure its an MG issue beacuse both my wife and i bought ZS Hybrid cars each from new earlier this year and both do it!
would be interested to hear if anyone else has this issue??

Happens on my MGS5 too.
I've never seen anything documented that explains the behaviour and I've seen it happen when the car in front, behind and myself are all stationary.

Hi both. I have seen this happen from within my own car and on other newer ZS and HS models. I believe it relates to collision warning, as I have seen clearly another ZS about to be rear ended and the hazards light flashed as you describe. I think it's a safety feature designed to warn other motorists.

Yes, in stationery traffic, if the vehicle behind you is very close the hazards will flash. It probably does it more often than you realise.

A little embarrassing really, I wish it could be deactivated.
