Just got an ad for the MG S6 which claimed to come with a headup display: Is that true and what can it display? Anyone can send a picture (I am just curios).

Yes. It will show speed signs, your speedo reading, when you have ACC/Lane assist set and its speed/distance setting. If you use the built-in satnav (and I think in intelligent drive mode) then you will also get a visual indication of when you need to turn (arrows and distance to turn IIRC).

Edit: Oh, and it's only on the Trophy model

It's a very decent headup display and shows what you need it to show. The only thing I miss is automatic day/night/snow mode. You have to change that manually on the main screen, which incidentally also does not have automatic day/night mode.
But I've set both to dark mode as default and that works fine at all times.

So nothing groundbreaking (sounds very similar to what my previous C Class from 2014 could do/display)

I hope they will bring it to other models in the future.. Personally, I don't think that I need more than that (no AR Hud etc..)

Look at the new Huds from German cars.. For me this is way to much but they seem to think the more the better

Agree, but that's the same with a lot of stuff on modern cars, these days. Stuff you just don't need and probably don't want. 🙄🙂👍

Thats why I like the MGs so much.. Some German tester always say they are outdated I think its perfect as you really get what actually benefits you without fancy stuff. Like the new Audis have matrix headlights that can display symbols on the road and stuff like that - Why the hell would I want / need that? It's in my eyes just wanna be innovation that drives up all our insurance costs.

And the best part: No subscriptions - Can't name a single thing that I hate more than this crap in the modern world. I see the reason for subscriptions that cost money to maintain like server costs.. But what some German brands are doing (like subscribing to your heated seats or heated front screen, ambient light and what not) just is too much - aside from their terrible service (not really better/worse than the MG service).

It looks just like this. However at night if you have the brightness up you can occasionally see light bleed from the edge of its screen. But honestly, it works really well as others have said.

Just had a thought.. according to that marketing picture they are traveling in a built up area at 75mph and need to take a hard left in 57 metres lol
