Hi

New owner, loving the car. Just a couple of quick questions.

Dashboard display reverts back after a while, can I keep it on display with mpg etc?
Same with regen and mode, always reverts to 2 and normal when starting
If I use a dongle in the tablet USB port, does it power off when engine is off? I want to use it for Android Auto without wires if that makes sense

Thanks to anyone who may be able to help

Welcome! Agreed, it's a great car, having owned it for 12 months and 15400 miles.

Not sure about the dash display and driving modes - I haven't found a way around that, unfortunately.
The USB powers down with the stereo, so no battery worries. I also have a wireless Android Auto adapter permanently connected.

Happy driving!

To the forum. 🙂👍

For now, the system reverting back to the drive assist screen is unfortunately set, and it does so whenever any ADAS detects something (usually it's ELK detecting some too close driving to the lines), or activating MG pilot; And regen unfortunately also is programmed to reset every time you start (for some reason, a lot of cars do that, which is annoying), although I have occasionally noted that my car forgets to reset and will restart in regen 1. This I solve by leaving regen on one of the steering wheel favorite buttons, so it's an easy finger flip to the desired mode.

Both things would require an update form MG, fingers crossed it would probably happen once. Or someone with a Carly reader or similar can hack the system at some point ,as these are not mandatory annoyances like always on at start ADAS....
