I am lucky enough to live in the hills of the North Downs of Kent. That means that I am going up and down fairly steep hills. Indeed, my home, the eponymous Biggin Hill, is surrounded on three sides by steep descents.

Turning HDC on and off is a multi-button nightmare, not something to be done on every hill.

So, is there any disadvantage to turning it on once and leaving it on for the whole day?

I'm surprised it's needed, in my humble MG4 I have plenty of control in one pedal drive mode.
Doesn't make much difference to me going up or downhill, accelerator pedal adjusts speed effortlessly.

You can swipe down from the top of the screen and toggle it on and off from the shortcut
That's a feature I'd missed, thank you
