Not an MG
Has anyone experience-suggestions for charging two cars at home; not at the same time.
We currently use octopus go via a zappi charger for our Smart car, but are hoping to get an IM5 too.
The Smart charges in just a few hours, the IM5 could be 16 hours.

We have an MG4 and Kia Niro both 64kWh batteries with a Zappi. No issues really, the upcoming 6 hour limit on IOG means each car will get around 40kWh in any charging session, which is normally plenty. I have been trying their 'greener nights' initiative which is fine but delaying the charge waiting for a greener night has meant wanting to add more than 6 hours, which is achievable with smart charge.

Depends how ar each car has to go on any given day. We have an XPower and a Mini electric, you can get the Mini to 100% pretty much overnight where the MG will take 2 nights. If you never let the battery charge get too low you could probably top up either to 100% for any given long trip overnight.

If you ball park 25 - 30 kW of charging from 5 hours of cheap rate EV tariff that gives you some figures to juggle with

How big is the battery on the IM5?
16x7kW=112kWh

We charge two EVs at home without issue, the new IOG 6 hrs limit will probably mean we charge one car one more night just to make sure we stick to the 6 hrs.

Charging an IM would maybe need charged two nights in a row if you were charging from a low soc to 100% for a longer trip.
Otherwise it would most likely be 40%-80% charge when you need a charge (to stick to the 6hrs limit)
