so that you don't get an email every time someone reacts to one of your posts on the forum?

It's annoying and my inbox fills up unnecessarily.

I just did that, and the bloody emails still come. I don't want to have to run around unfollowing a bazillion threads, but I don't want these emails while I'm on holiday.

Did you press 'Save' after selecting your preferences?

To be honest @Rolfe, it might be best not to mess with your MGEVs settings if you're happy with them. Instead, if you just want to not receive MGEVs emails while you're away, just go to your emails and block MGEVs.com for the duration.
