IM5/IM6 Improvement requests?

Just a thought - rather than 'pin' why not face recognition, like a phone? there is already a face monitoring camera

Actually the car I have on order (Genesis GV60 Performance) has had facial recognition for a few years. The camera is mounted on the door frame B pillar. Its said to be able to work in the dark and the rain, and should be efficient. From my experience with my just sold previous Genesis Electrified G80, they have really got their technology features sorted. The tech in my old car was always reliable.
They also fit a finger print recognition sensor inside to allow you to start the car, but all that said with keyless technology meaning you dont need to look for your carkey to get in and start, I'm not sure how often these features will be useful.
One feature that Genesis do offer, which given the parking tech on the IM5 should be easily possible, is remote parking and vehicle movement. I found it particularly useful to adjust the cars position within a bay, and if you like to show off 😀, is great for attracting passers-by when they see the car parking but no one in the drivers seat!!
From what I've seen, the MG has got the self parking system to actualy work properly and quickly, so would be an ideal candidate. My guess like some other high tech equipment now fitted to the Chinese only mark 2 version, it's already available in its home market.

That lack of commitment was the reason why I sold my MG3 after just 18 month.
From speaking to MG Customer service, I was left feeling that once you've bought the car, dont bother MG with a concern cos they've got your money and now dont want to know!
Ive said a thousand times, fantastic value for money, but after sales is atrocious!!

Mainly improvements around lane keeping and pilot. I turn off LKA along with other ADAS on start up, but if I ever forget to do that and I'm cruising on a motorway, the car sometimes starts pulling me to closer to the lines for no reason and then aggressively pulls me back to the middle. It's scary. Also I want auto-dimming lights, but than can wait until winter. The rest of it is fine as is and it's a fantastic car. Like I said, I love it but wouldn't recommend it unless I see commitment from MG to keep improving it. It's a tech-heavy car and not having any software updates for 6+ months on something like this is insane.

I never use Pilot, but only because I prefer to drive myself. The only thing I disable is the camera, by putting tape over it, to stop the distraction warnings (which are very distracting…) Never had a problem with the rest of ADAS

Totally agree with you, I've called MG 4 times about an issue and never get a call back.

Sorry I got it tbh, I wouldn't get one that's sold by MG again
