Infotainment: Max volume 7

Couldn't find a general Infotainment thread so here we go..

On several occasions now, my sound volume didn't go over "7". I could go down and up but never over 7. Each time, it was solved the next time I drove the car. One time I noticed volume went to the required level after pressing "P" for parking. So if it happens, I now solve it when stationary. When at a stoplight: quickly shift D -> P -> D.

Could it be that the volume level is stuck at "R" position?
That could be a software issue.
Or is the volume louder than when you're reversing?

I think thats spot on. Volume is reduced for the proximity alarm. The R position isnt engaged but R volume is activated.

This morning I was awake enough to test the "R volume theory". The R volume limit is 6. Not 7.
