Insurance Courtesy Car

Bit of a weird question.
An idiot hit my car back in May due to delays from MG with providing a part (still not got) my insurance I had at the time ended.
I renewed with another insurance company as was £600 cheaper.
With the courtesy car my old insurer is going to provide would they provide the insurance or would it be under my new policy (there is a term that says in my new insurance that they only cover a car provided by them)

Not yet. They seem to be very very slow. They don’t contact the other part till last month

I'd press them as they are the only people who can answer this categorically. Logic suggests they would cover it but you need to hear that from them.
