Intelligent Octopus

Have just been offered to switch from Octopus Go to Intelligent Octopus. Same daytime rate at 25.08p but extended cheap rate 5.00p from 23.30h - 05.30h. So six hours of cheap rate rather than four. Is there a catch? I presume we can still charge our home batteries in that time or is it just for the car?

Yes, but on reading further it looks like not all cars/chargers will be compatible.

So far only Tesla, but they say coming soon, Landrover, Jaguar, VW. They also list OHME and Wallbox chargers. Nothing about MG, but they do ask for other integrations, so maybe they're working on it.

Presumably because they're stipulated vehicle and charger types it won't be compatible with other usage such as washers, driers, batteries etc. I'd ask them to clarify, in writing.
