iSmart unable to get vehicle's GPS

Hi everyone!

I am using the iSmart app on my android phone and since a couple of weeks ago I get the "Unable to get vehicle's GPS" message:

Also maps don't show anything. I can't even search for anything. I always get the "Sorry! Ther is no data" message:

What I did so far:

• made sure that the app still has permission to get the phones location (gps)
• cleared the cache and restarted the app multiple times
• logged out and logged in again.

But nothing worked. Did this happen to any of you lately?

Oh, and ever since the new version (3.0.0) it tells me "Sunroof opened" randomly, although the sunroof is indeed not open .

strange; sunroof option in the UK was deleted almost a year ago... What about the MG navigation in the car, can you get the car position correctly? Navigation works?

The navigation in the car works as usual. I don't think that it is related to the new version because this was already the case before the update.

If the GPS in the car navigation works and if MG iSmart connects to the car for other info, it looks like a glitch with iSmart. They might have a few bugs in the new app that need sorting, I don't think there is much you can do about it but wait...

What I noticed twice so far on my new iSmart app version is that the car is located in the right place but I appear to be some place else, about 500 meters away ... although I'm next to it . But - I haven't checked the time when the app was last updated/synchronised with the car. Right now it shows last sync time from an hour ago and won't refresh. For me, it works at least 90% of the time.

I have the same problem, the last car location it was, only in the first travel that I made with the. Since that, the car stayed there. My question, there are anyplace in car infoentertainement that we can turn off the location?

I don't think you can turn the location off in the infotainment.
If the car shows in the right place on your infotainment navigation screen, it's iSmart app that needs to refresh, it will update eventually.

I've got exactly the same issue on my Fairphone4.
Couple of things to add:
It works fine on my wife's phone (Samsung) and shows map and location of the car.
Both are Android phones with recent versions of Android.
I reported it to the iSmart customer service people who after asking for a lot of irrelevant information said I should try a different brand of phone
