Dealer John Hughes (Perth):

Bought an MG4 51kWh Excite in June 2024 and just received a reminder of a service being due, which is BS, as the first service is due in two years or 40,000 (?)km. Southside Mitsubishi has done the same thing to me by trying to get me into the shop six months after sale rather than reminding me of an annual service.

With fixed-price servicing dealers are keen to get you into the shop regardless of necessity and it will make "old ladies" panic, which should not be on. Once in the shop, mechanics will find something to do to charge you for, like rotating tyres - declined that for the Mirage as the km were too low and upset the service desk.

Yes, domwild, I had one of these as well.
Their reply was that the automatic computer reminder program hadn't been updated for electric cars yet.

Over a year ago we bought ours from Rockingham, which was a pleasant enough experience,
But the first, 1000km check was a pain, they booked us in early, supposed to take half an hour to do a few checks, but we were there over half a day.
I wanted to buy a charge cable for public chargers. None in stock, we'll order and get back to you. Never heard from them.
They were woefully understaffed, the lady on the service desk had to run back and forth between 2 departments, half the time the service desk was understaffed, with no bell to say you were waiting.

Not sure what to do for our first service next year, Rockingham is much closer, but the main dealer in Perth has reportedly better facilities.
