Hi all,
Just ordered a Trophy LR in Picadilly Blue on a 3 year lease, got a pretty good deal on it. Really enjoyed the test drives I had, now an anxious 8-12 week wait!

What tips and tricks have you guys who already have one picked up that you can pass on to a newbie?

To the forum. Lovely motor for your, 1st EV. 🙂👍

Thanks. I test drove several options, but think I liked the S6 better than the others. So much extra gubbins as standard compared to the competition!

I tried the Skoda Enyaq Edition model. Didn't care for the seats, thought they were too narrow for my backside, also felt quite low down in it.
Tried the VW iD5 as there was a really good deal at the time, but wasn't overkeen on it and the weird VW group haptic slider buttons were annoying.
Also had a go in an iD7, and if the massage function on the seats had hit the right bit of my back, that would have been what I went with!
Had 2 test drives in the S6, both the standard and AWD Trophy versions. While the AWD was an absolute rocket ship, the price was too much for me to be comfortable with.

Exciting, first EV and an S6, enjoy the ride.

As far as tips and tricks go the forum here is slowly building up lots of info, pull up a chair, pour yourself a drink and start pursuing.

If I may I’ll ask a question, being your first EV, what are you planning for charging?

First of all, congratulations on your new car! I think you'll enjoy it. I tested the same cars as you, and more, and had similar experiences. Had various VW cars before, but the hapitc controls are terrible, and immediately disqualified the ID4. Enyaq is a great car, but 20% more expensive here in Norway

Do i have some useful tips? Hmm. Well, when I picked it up, I had a 100km drive home In the dark, and having only tested the car in daylight previously, I was shocked by how bad the headlights were! Not the output, but length, or rather lack of length of the beam, until I got a tip in here that the beam is manually adjustable with a knob on the panel above the knee. In mine it was set at the lowest possible, so no wonder it was short 😂 So worth remembering.

Also, the stereo was sounding quite bad to begin with, but it needs a bit of time to get played in, and some tinkering with the EQ and sound stage settings. It's become quite ok after being played for some time now.

If you have any questions, I've learned that this forum is more than helpful!

I will be getting a 7kW charger, probably the Hypervolt 3 as I like the look of that one the best, I have a friend with a Zappi and one with the Ohme home pro and neither of those float my boat

I have UK Power Networks coming to replace my main cutout fuse with a 100 amp one next month as the 60 amp on the house is not sufficient and I'm planning on getting Solar, battery and heatpump within the next couple of years.
