It's more about a Halo effect, a flagship product, then sales for the more mundane get boosted as a result. Supercar priced models aside, there is almost no market for coupe's at all in the UK, we must be an excessively boring lot with all this love for SUV's!

In our case, the wife, (happily) has the boring workhorse and I get the fun, play, cars, but there is literally nothing EV related out there in this market. I compromised and bought a Model S, very cool, too big really, it'll be gone when the first proper sports coupe EV at less than £70k arrives.
