I'm a truck driver and because I transport shipping containers I don't do much physical work, so have put some weight 😅 on .
In December I weighed 19st 2.5lb I now weigh 18st 0.5lb
Due to diet change and just getting out the cab and going for a walk and I feel better for it .
Also cut the booze out as well.
Whats your fitness regime?

Yep good job. Weight’s easy to aquire but much harder to shed. Your job doesn’t help but keep up the exercise and staying off the alcohol helps. You don’t half cover the miles so can’t have a lot of free time so that makes it all the harder. Keep up the tales from behind the steering wheel and add in the odd walking mileage report as well for us - good luck

Luckily with containers some times I get a 2/3hr tip some times

I walk a minimum of 5 miles a day, 3 miles before breakfast and another 2 later in the day. I'm also getting back into using an exercise bike for a more intensive workout after a one year break. Fortunately, I've never been overweight or unfit and I aim to keep it that way!

Impressive- it’s easier to keep weight down that way. I never could and I’m definitely not that disciplined.

Playing Table Tennis and walking the dogs are my 2 main means of exercise to keep my weight down. I got down to 14st before Xmas, then put on 8lb over the festive period. I'm now back down to 14st. :)
That turkey lived its life in vain.

I think I’ll go for a walk while I decide what’s for tonight’s dinner. There’s a haggis in the fridge (beautiful MacSween’s veggie one ) There’s some diced chicken and mixed veg including bamboo shoots and edamame beans with egg noodles. And there’s a couple of frozen curries in the freezer. Anyone out there to offer culinary advice ?

I was 92kg, said that was it, gunna get back to 70kg, seems the scales ignored me and I went to 95kg, then 98kgs, living in the motorhome, no more lawn mowing, sorting out the river water pump, maybe 20 steps from the bed to the computer chair, last tip toe on the doctors scales, 102.5kg (about 16 stone) ..... living in good paddock and the fridge half way between the bed and 'puter chair ..... I think the "rouge waistline" as @Archev coined it, describes it perfectly .....

I will have to do something about it though .... but giving up the grog  I at least swapped to low carb mid strength .... that's a start

Best I achieved, about 10 years ago, was going to the 5 - 2 diet, semi fasting 2 days a week, after a month I'd gone from 75kg to 62kg. felt terrific, heaps of energy. But been slack with the diet lately and not as much exercise, gone back up over 70kg. Not a lot of energy anymore, but that could be down to being 10 years older

If I could get to 75kg again, I'd be over the moon ..... what was the fasting days diet? I did the one day light lite next day normal eating a while back, but can't remember if I lost weight or not ..... although, I do remember losing a kg a week there at one stage, before the workshop fire, all consideration of looking after the weight went to the bottom of the list, when the house and second motorhome burnt to the ground .... all consideration about anything much went with it, bought a Winnebago Explorer 31ft motorhome, at what I thought was an absolute steal, and have spent ever since working on the thing, out in the rain and blistering sun .... getting way to old for this B/S, but very limited options available at the moment .... at least until the new house is built next yr sometime ...

I'm guessing you use container locks, so you got a walk around the truck and trailer twice a load, maybe do it at a jog and one container lock per lap and then an inspection lap to see if they are all in the correct position ....
I found the 20ft container locked down on the back of the Ford 1113 converted equipment carrier, certainly stiffened the body twist out of it .....

No particular diet as such, just reducing calories to 500 - 600.

Here's the university of Sydneys take on it.
,The Healthy 5:2 Diet
Just checked the Hahn Superdry 3.5 can, 89 calories per can .... hmmm.... cut back to 5 cans on the starvation day ..... I could give it a go :)

 Just remembered the 1 ltr milk for coffee a day, that's 660 calories on it's own .... I doubt I'd live long enough to actually see any weight loss if I cut the coffee out, the wife would do me in by lunch time on the first day o_O

2 coffees a day and no beer, I mightn't live longer, but will sure feel like it's taking a long time to die .....
