After 18 months of nearly daily usage, had a low key battery message pop up on the dash.
Looks straight fwd enough, p.123 of the manual with a CR2032 battery.
Ok, that took a lot longer than expected.
Step 1:
Pry off the clip and open lower cover.
Problem here is knowing how much force to use and where it's being held on.
Digging in at the end as shown in the manual, it doesn't show how far in you need to separate the cover. There's a nice groove shown in the picture below, but that's misdirection!
Just use the guitar picker go in about 1mm and then slide it to the other end of the key fob!
There are 4 clips holding the lower cover at the other end, towards the silver circle.
Step 2: unscrew the screw and remove the battery cover...
they make it sound so simple...
With the screw removed, the cover still won't come off. Took a while (as I didn't want to break anything), but eventually worked out to slide the guitar pick in at the end away from the screw and then pry the cover off with a bit of force.
There are 4 latches on the sides which keep the cover on!
Then replace the battery
