Light above drivers sun visor stays on

Can anyone please tell me if when you pull down the drives sun visor if the light above it comes on. I think it should only be on if the mirror sliding cover is open. Thanks

According to the manual page 68 the cover should operate the light.

Checked mine and the cover activates the light.

I’ve realised passenger has same setup Doh, so drivers side definitely faulty
