Lights

Why would you want to switch them off?
Oddly, before I had a car which had DRL, I did wish they could be turned off. I was at a drive-in movie show - and every time someone started their car to de-mist it, their DRL would pop on and was pretty distracting. Similar to the kid in the cinema the other week with flashing LED trainers!

Other than that type of reason, I can see why safety aids can't be easily disabled.

I imagine the poster realised it didn't address your question but it wasn't an unreasonable one, in line with the spirit of conversation in this forum.

And I realise my reply doesn't help either.

Tina made no mention of this problem in her song ?‍♂️?

If they cannot be turned off. Can you fit a switch inline and use it manually?

Technically yes.

If you had an accident and it was found you'd forgot to turn them back on though, I bet the insurance wouldn't pay out (it's an easy excuse for them) because you've made the vehicle non-compliant with the Road Vehicle Lighting Regulations.
