Technically, you can probably go as fast backwards as forwards in an EV, but presumably going backwards is restricted in terms of speed and acceleration.

But has anyone dared to find out?

No but if you don't put foot on the power pedal going backs you build up speed very quickly and not going forward only up to 4 or 5 mile an hour but backwards wow ??
