MG HS Hybrid+ Navigation is it crap?

We tried using the MG cars navigation map to get us somewhere (switched off Google maps on our phone) and it was totally laggy and inaccurate. Anyone else finding the same thing?

Maybe there aren't many satellites over Australia , we hired a Corolla from No Birds a couple of years ago, and the Navigation was a total waste of time in that as well.
