- MG3 Hybrid+
Hi all,
This isn’t technically related to the MG4 Urban, however it is the car I just purchased yesterday (a lovely upgrade from my MG3 Hybrid+ and loving it so far).
I obviously had the fun task of trying to bind my new car to the app, and I kept getting the following error: ‘Bind failed. Please check the Date/Time/Time zone settings in the infortainment system.’
After googling I couldn’t seem to find a solution. I tried connecting my car to my phone, accepting T&C’s but nothing was working!
The Solution?
Going into the time and date settings on the car, turning off ‘DLS’ and ‘automatic time’ and then changing the time to ‘GMT+1’.
I then tried binding the app again and success! It worked. I have no idea why this caused an issue, because surely that’s the entire point of the DLS feature being there in the first place.
A very random solution that hopefully can save time for others…
